Hey guys,

we will use Kerio Connect 8.3.0 with Active Directory Service on MS Windows Server 2008 R2. I'm going to describe the situation with an example:

AD Site:
Domain: mycom.local
Name: Mike
Surname: Schulz
Username for AD Login: Schulz
E-Mail in field for E-Mail: m.schulz<_at_>mycom.de

We install "Kerio Active Directory Extension" on AD Server and connect Kerio to AD. This works fine.

But:

Kerio sync user from AD with mail "Schulz<_at_>mycom.local".

It's going to be a big installation and it's hard to change all addresses to correct format. It's always the first letter of the name, followed by dot and followed by surname.

Is there an options to change the way how Kerio Connect builds his mail addresses or can we use field "E-Mail" from AD?

Thanks in advance!

Looking forward to your ideas.

Best regards,
Jonathan

Hey Pavel,

thanks for fast replay. We take a look to this, but didn't understand how we can say to Kerio Config "use first letter of name+dot+surname". Wink

Any idea?

You can say to Kerio config the attribute which contains the username in a format you want to use. If there is none such attribute, you need to create one or change eg. userPrincipalName in Active Directory to match your needs.

Hi Pavel,

I played with the ads.map.

Data in AD:

userPrincipalName = Dobry<_at_>Test.local
sAMAccountName = Dobry
mail = p.dobry

in ads.map I replace:
<variable>
<name>MailAddress</name>
<value><attribute>kerio-Mail-Address</attribute></value>
</variable>

WITH:

<variable>
<name>MailAddress</name>
<value><attribute>mail</attribute></value>
</variable>

Result@Kerio:
E-Mail-Adress: Dobry<_at_>test.local
Secound Adress: p.dobry<_at_>Test.local

If I touch this:
<variable>
<name>Name</name>
<value><attribute>sAMAccountName</attribute></value>
</variable>

Kerio isn't able to auth against AD.

Any why to tel Kerio Mail Server, jsut to get p.dobry<_at_>test.local as Domain?

Thanks in advance,
Patrick
