FWIW, i noticed a marked increase in SPAM after disabling SORBS. For us, since we never did notice a false positive (note 'notice') from SORBS, we went back to enabling it and things have been better.

What about rhsbl.sorbs.net? Is keeping this enabled causing similar issues?

Is anyone actively pushing to get this resolved? I need to implement on an FC5 box and this is keeping us from buying and implementing Kerio...

Well, personally, I would not use FC5 since it have bugs similar to this one. In fact, it is not reliable if almost any application can crash due to bug in system libraries. It would be better to use well-proven FC4 and wait for FC5 update.

All, fyi,
I'd performed a test today regarding this FC5 bug that affects Webmail.
I've downloaded compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm package from FC4 distibution, and manually replaced /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5.0.7 on FC5 system with a older one from FC4 rpm.
Now everything is fine :)
I understand that this cannot be treated as a permanent way out, but those of you who are runing FC5 already may consider that as a temporary workaround untill RH will release updated compat-libstdc++-33 for FC5.

Hey, thanks for the info.
However, we will have to consider this "unsupported" until we have an offical fix from RedHat. So if you go this route, you'll have to fix your own problems if they develop.
Cheers,
Joshua

1. You have to download compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm package from FC4 distibution
2. You have to unpack the library libstdc++.so.5.0.7 from the downloaded RPM (you can use Midnight Commander "mc" to browse the contents of RPM)
3. You have to overwrite the file "/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5.0.7" with the one from FC4 package (under root permissions).
P.S. I'm not taking any responsibility for the stability of the system after that operation, however, I didn't noticed any issues on my own FC5.

According to RedHat developers, this bug is fixed in current builds of FC6 beta. Update for Fedora Core 5 would be released in few weeks.

I have checked bugzilla today and there is an update posted with a link to the test update packages : https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-test-list/2006-Septem ber/msg00450.html
I have tested them today and they looks fine in respect to the Kerio Mailserver Webmail crash issue.
However, this update is still not officially posted for some reason...

Finally, Updated compat packages are released!
From this point, FC5 can be treated as Supported.

As SORBS say themselves, in their DNSBL list the include dynamic address spaces, so it possible that someone who runs a mail server on a dynamic IP address gets listed.
Or a static IP address that has a pointer record like
232-243-11-34.myisp.com
is also listed. Your ISP should add "static" to your PTR records, then you are fine, example:
232-243-11-34.static.myisp.com
I would recommend (as Kerio does) to just increase the score by 3. Works great for me.
Regards, Pascal
