Hi,

I would like to add some custom checks to SpamAssassin, to perform some RCVD_IN_* tests to check all mail servers against blocklists.

I know Kerio performs this function already, but only for the server establishing the connection to send the mail, it doesnt check any potential mail relays in the header.

I have tried adding the rule
score RCVD_IN_SBL_XBL 0.1
to /opt/kerio/mailserver/spamassassin/rules/local.cf (I had to create this file myself, so I am not sure if this is the correct method.

Please can anyone assist me with adding custom scores to SpamAssassin checks for all mail incoming to my server.

Many Thanks,
Tom

Just a word of warning, we do not support modifying the .cf files in the SpamAssassin folder, and doing so makes you ineligible for technical support.

OK, message heard and understood.

Looks like I'll have to answer this one myself then :)

Please let me clarify:

Submitting an email ticket = Technical Support
Calling us = Technical Support
This forum != Technical Support

You guys are welcome to discuss what ever you'd like here (related to the product). So you are definitely allowed to ask the question you asked, and everybody is free to answer/comment on it.

All I'm saying is if you choose to manually modify your SpamAssassin cf files, you become ineligible for the first two options. I guess it's kind of like voiding your warranty on an electronic device by opening it up. Smile

What I would recommend is before you modify any files, make a backup copy of the 'clean' SpamAssassin folder that would be made after a fresh install. Should you require real technical support, move your 'modified' SA folder and replace it with the original clean SA folder. We would then be able to assist you (but of course not with questions on modifying the cf files).
