I want to disable SpamAssassin. How do I do that? I have already edited mailserver.cfg and changed AssassinEnabled=0 and FilterEnabled=0 under the SpamFilter section. Is that good enough? I ask because the filter status now reads Learning instead of Active.

Why did you edit the cfg-file directy instead of just using Admin Console to disable spam-filtering? (Content Filtering, Spam Filter, Spam Rating tab.)

That's the first thing I did, but Kerio still filters email into the IMAP folder called Junk Email. The problem is that we don't use IMAP, we use POP3 and messages that get filtered into IMAP folders can't be downloaded. Also, there is no option in the UI to disable SpamAssassin.

Which version of KMS are you using? With the latest version you can disable Spamassassin from the Interface, you don't have to edit .cfg files.

Also, can you send the header of one of the mails you get in the Junk folder, so we can analyze if Spamassissin rules still get applied.

Even if you turn of Spamassassin you can still get Spam Score from your Blacklists or SPF. If the score reaches your definded level the messages will still end up in your Junk folder.

I'm using 6.2.0 build 1492. Our support contract has expired so I can't install any updates and I don't plan on installing any updated soon. I'm trying to get ur switched over to Exchange because Kerio was not the Exchange replacement I had hoped.

I don't really care for Kerio's anti-spam features. I find SpamBayes with the Outlook plugin to be much more accurate.

I just don't want email to get filter into IMAP folders. I want all email to stay in the INBOX. I think the option I set is working, I just had to restart the service.

You will need to have the users login to their accounts via Webmail to disable the spam filter rule if you do not want messages marked as spam to be moved to the Junk Email folder.

While the users are logged into Webmail, click on the settings button, then click on the Spam tab. The first option there allows you to enable/disable the auto-sorting rule.
