Hello

I want to configure the kerio mailserver with an anti-virus,, clamav.

I am running Linux.

I have installed clamav.
when i run /usr/sbin/clamd [enter]
and then select clamav-antivirus in the mailserver, i get an error
saying that the eicar testvirus is missing in the store directory, and that i have to remove other antivirusses,, that i do not have installed.

i have configured the clamd.conf with this:

Quote:

Try changing this:

# TCP port address.
# Default: disabled
# TCPSocket 3310

To this:

# TCP port address.
# Default: disabled
TCPSocket 3310

This may help. Try changing:

# Run as a selected user (clamd must be started by root).
# Default: disabled
#User clamav

To this:

# Run as a selected user (clamd must be started by root).
# Default: disabled
User clamav

what can be the problem?

I never got clamav to work with Kerio. Our system is a SUSE 10.1 with Kerio as an FYI.

In the windows version of ClamAV, the knowledgebase fails to acknowledge that you must comment the following parameters: LocalSocket and FixStaleSocket. This may be true of the linux versions, although I have not looked into it...
