I have a user that sent me this email:

"Suddenly I am not able to properly view Miscosoft attachments that are sent to me using Webmail. Here is what happens.

When I try to download the file, I get a message that says "Microsoft Word needs a converter to display the file correctly" It then asks me if I would like to install the converter from a disk. This also happened to me with Excel files.

I can still open and use Word fine on my laptop, but I tested to see if the problem was with my copy of Word by sending the file to myself using my hotmail account. This worked fine. But when I sent the same file using Webmail, it failed. Further, if I sent the file to my hotmail using Webmail, it also failed.

I noticed that there is some junk header information that appears to be added to the file. I think Webmail is doing this when I upload the file as an attachment to my message.

Have you ever heard of this, and do you know how I can fix it?"

Does anyone know anything about this? I don't really get attachments that often, so I haven't experienced this personally.
