I am having problems with Activesync to a 6.3.1 server behind a BT Voyager NAT firewall.

I can access webmail, using the servers full domain name, so port 80 is routing through to the server properly.

I can also sync to the server via a WIFI link from inside the firewall on the private network, so I am happy that Activesync works properly to the server. This is using its IP address. 192.168.1.10. But if I change the IP address in "Server configuration" to the servers domain name and then try and connect over the GPRS vodafone network it will not synchronise even though it will connect to webmail using the same connection.

Any help will be appreciated.

ActiveSync requires http 1.1. You have any proxy (reverse proxy) that is breaking http 1.1?

The problem was that Activesync actually insists on using SSL. Therefore the solution was to create a root certificate on the server in the domain name of the server. Then transfer this to the Xda Mini S and open port 443 on the Firewall / Router.

Thank you Kerio Support for the answer that was buried away in a help document.

Yours truly,

Chalky.
