Anything special I need to look out for? I've taken over admin of this machine, and don't really know a whole lot about Kerio. I'd leave it alone, but the company's subscription expires in 10 days, so I'd like to get up to date before it runs out.

Running on RH9. Plan to backup, stop the mailserver, install the rpm package, start the mailserver. I intend to all this remotely, since the machine is locked away in co-lo.

I assume the clients will need to update their Outlook connector, right?

Thanks for any tips.

Matt

only thing i would suggest is to make sure your back up of the mail store and system are current before proceding. otherwise, good luck

oh yeah, all clients will need to update there connector, and you will need to update your admin client in order to continue administration.

is it as simple as clients who are already using the connector just installing the new version, or is there some config involved?

all they have to do is install the new version. none of their configuration needs to be changed.

You can upgrade to current version 6.3.1 any time in the future (even if your subscription is expired). Version 6.3.1 has been released before the expiration of the subscription so you're entitled to upgrade to this version.
With expired subscription you will lose access to the technical support, antivirus updates (if the subscription includes integrated antivirus) and any KMS upgrade.

Please be advised that RH9 is no longer a supported operating system:
