We have a very old routing server running WinRoute 4.1.25 and now upgrading hardware, as well as software.

What's the easiest way to upgrade WinRoute 4.1.25 to an up-to-date version like 6.2.x and keep all the routing rules etc? Is it possible to automate the process to some degree, or we'd have to do all the stuff manually?

Found the answer in the Administrator's Guide Smile

Seems I have to upgrade the WinRoute Pro 4.x to the Kerio WinRoute Firewall 5.x. and then upgrade version 5.x to version 6.x

I also found that this way of upgrading is not recommended. But will this method keep all my configuration settings?

I think it is better to write down your settings and rules.
and then setup the new system with these settings perhaps a little customized / optimized.

this way you will have a good installation, and settings you need and want
