Hello,

I've found sporadic posts talking about calendar support in KMS using Mozilla Sunbird / Lightning, but the docs are very vague.

How does this work?
How is it enabled on KMS?
What URL is used from the iCal client to access a calendar?

Thanks for your help in advance,
J.

I have tried to used the documentation for Apple iCal Support in the page 391 of documentation.

In lightning (v 0.3) for thunderbird i have this errror message :

[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [calIIcalComponent.startTime]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/benodilo/Application%2 0Data/Thunderbird/Profiles/n23pxlk2.default/extensions/%7Be2 fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/js/calItemBase.js :: anonymous :: line 514" data: no]

Hi,

- How does this work?
Yes, works

- How is it enabled on KMS?
I think just enabling http access

- What URL is used from the iCal client to access a calendar?
https://server/ical/user<.a.t.>domain/calendar
or http if you like

Sometimes we the user previously use Outlook you can get errors about incompatible character encodings, at this time my solution is joust backup and then remote all the appointments (in outlook) and then create it again using Lightning.

Thanks, but I'm still not having any luck with Mozilla Lightning or Sunbird. After entering the correct URL, I am prompted for a User/Password.

After entering this, it appears to accept it as valid, but then does not receive any calendar data, and I cannot add events, etc.

I have an empty calendar.

I used the following settings in Lightning/Sunbird:

- Calendar on the Network
- iCalendar (ICS) format
- https://server/ical/user<.a.t.>domain/calendar

Help?
J.

Hi,

My settings in Lightning are the same, maybe the problem is in the version of KMS and Lightning.

I'm using Lightning 0.3 (build 2006100616) and KMS 6.2.3.
