Hi,

I'm using WinRoute users database, I want my users not to share their login IDs among each other and login with the same ID from tow different PCs at same time. So, I want each user to be able to login to one PC at a time.

I want also to limit the number connections to the internet each user may have to a maximum limit at any given time say to 5. So, user can not open more than 5 Internet Explorer sessions at a time. Also, those who are using some Internet applications, I want to limit them as well. I do not know if WinRoute can also, provide a message to the users when these tow rules are violated.

I appreciate any help or guidance !!

Regards,
ns.

This option is not available, sorry bad news.

This is available under: Go to Advanced Option>Security Settings>Enable Connection Limit, here set it to 5.

Thanks.

It is impossible to limit the number of open Internet Explorer windows. You can only to limit the amount of connections (as the previous poster answered).

A single Internet Explorer session/window will use more than 1 connection. (A webpage is built up of lots of small items and the browser will download these elements in parallel.) So setting the connection limit to 5 will drastically limit their browsing experience, even if they've only got 1 or 2 windows open.

Just experiment a bit and see what suits you.
