Hello,

I am setting up Kerio on a Linux Redhat ES4 server and was wondering if Kerio had its own LDAP setup versus the LDAP on the server and how is it set up? If there is an LDAP Function on the linux version, where are the setup files or what is involved with the setup?

Thanks

as far as i know, Kerio will connect to LDAP, Active Directory (with plugin), and Open Directory (with plugin) servers for its authentication information. It does not however provide LDAP services for other services to authenticate against.

If you are looking to only host email with these user accounts you can have local accounts where the information is stored in an internal database.
