we are using Kerio Winroute Firewall at work. It's a small network - ADSL modem, server with 2 NICs and 4 PCs.
We can't use the Internet Connection Sharing that comes with Win XP Pro, because it timeouts after 10-15 minutes and a restart of both the modem and the Server is needed in order to have an Internet connection again. So we got the Kerio Winroute Firewall. The interface is very user friendly and we were very satisfied with the result for the first two days but then, something went wrong. The connection to the Internet occasionally times out and when i open the Administrator Panel, there is a message saying that the connection to the server has been lost, giving me two options one of which - reconnect. Sometimes it comes online by itself after a while but it's really annoying. The settings are almost default. We have only set up the DHCP server. The connection to the Internet stops even on the server computer. After disabling the Winroute Engine, everything starts again, but of course - only on the server PC. Can someone help me with this? We really like the program and want to continue using it.
I can give more information if needed. I can also show logs, but there is nothing written there. At least none that was of any assistance to me.
Thank you in advance.
edit: i forgot to mention that Winroute shows that "failed to connect to **** server" message when the internet connection is down.
