I would like to bring up Mailman on my OS X server that currently hosts my Kerio server. I realize that Kerio has some limited list services, but I'd rather go with the additional features of Mailman.

Can Kerio and Mailman co-exist on OSX?

Do I need to have PostFix enabled to support the local mail and outgoing SMTP, and if so, can it co-exist with Kerio? Can I have PostFix forward to Kerio for sending? Any help would be appreciated.

I am presuming that I cannot simply enable Apple's mail and list services, rather that I need to tinker directly with Mailman's config files - is this correct?

Any good sources of information on this sort of installation?

An alternative for me is my other mail server which currently runs EIMS - would that be a better choice for Mailman?

Regards,

Dean

Just a bump .. after nearly 250 viewers no one has commented on Mailman compatibility (OS X).

Thanks!

I dont know Mailman but maybe (!) it is possible to run both servers on the same machine if you carefully change all service ports of mailman so they dont overlap with the kms ports. and of course you need to change the client settings to connect to the changed mailman ports.

.. however i think you should only run one mailserver on a single server.
