I am working with a client that has just installed a Kerio Winroute firewall on their network. We've been very pleased with the product, but I have one problem I can't figure out.

They allow some of their neighboring clients to use their wireless LAN, who have employees that like to use P2P software. They need to block that, and WinRoute does that very well.

HOWEVER, the P2P detection mechanism seems to be detecting and stopping Vonage (telephone over IP) traffic. They need Vonage to work properly. This has created a bit of a dilema. Because of the nature of these neighboring clients, it's impossible to selectively allow P2P on one IP/customer and block it for another.

Is there any way to specifically permit Vonage and still block P2P?

Thank you.

Sure. Please read following chapter from KWF user manual http://www.kerio.com/manual/kwf/en/ch15s01.html and check if port used by Vonage for communication is not listed in P2P Advanced options.

If you need to disable P2P Eliminator selectively, you can do it on per user basis.
