I stumbled onto "Copy" backups yesterday and am curious what they really are. I don't find details in manuals, KB or forum search.

Currently running 6.3.1, moving to 6.4.0 within the next week or so.

thanks for your time.

Where do you see 'Copy' backup? I only see the option to do a 'Full' or a 'Differential' backup in Kerio Mail Server (6.3.1)...

The only difference is that Copy backup is initiated manually by the administrator and Full backup by scheduler. The output is same.

Pavel - Thank you for the quick response - so its exactly the same as a full, and when I run an incremental, it will know what to leave alone and what to back up?

I wound up with it when I triggered a manual backup after recovering from a hardware problem. I was surprised with I saw the "C2007..." files, and found in the manual that there is such a thing as a copy
