How does a manager or supervisor check an employees email without having every folder shared of every employee with the manager or the manager knowing their password.

Is there a way for the manager to log in and check everyones email, with or without "writing" privileges.

There is no easy way that I am aware of. In the past, I have grepped the mail store to find particular emails when a user wasn't here, but that is probably not a viable solution for most shops.

Assuming that looking at other people's email is legal in your situation Cool the way that I do it is to log into webmail as the admin user and look at the archive folders, which are available to that user to view. Navigating to the appropriate archive folder and opening it allows me to do a search. You could do the same by sharing the archive folders with your user ID, which mean they appear in your webmail view as well.

It isn't ideal, and I have also had to grep the message store on occasions, but it may be good enough for you.
