In order to lower the number of Spam coming through KMS, I wanted to enable DCC, Razor2 and Pyzor (all the corresponding .cf files are present in the KMS folder). I enabled them in init.pre, but they don't seem to work even after a restart of KMS.

Are they supposed to work or has KMS disabled them on purpose?

I haven't used Pyzor, but have DCC and Razor (in other situations). My guess is that init.pre is a stock SA file. Please forgive me if you know this already, but...

Razor and DCC are external programs that have to exist on the system, and have to be configured before being enabled (well ok, they are services that require programs...). I'm sure Kerio doesn't include them. They are well documented on the web (at least for *nix-like OS's)

Thanks you, tpalmer.

That's what I thought as well, I just wanted a confirmation. I think it is the same as it used to be with SURBL (blacklist for URL in mail bodies). Although the .cf files where in KMS for quite a while, they included the necessary programs only with 6.3 or so.

Maybe they will include razor in a next version, which would definitely a good move in my opinion.

I agree with the both of you. KMS's spam filtering has still been inadequate. If razor2/pyzor/etc were included, I'm sure it would make a huge difference.

Optimally, I'd like to see the extra SpamAssassin technologies in the famous "Debian Spam Gateway" document (http://www200.pair.com/mecham/spam/) utilized in the Kerio MailServer product.

We have a server setup using this document as our actual spam filter and it's very very effective. I would love to see these extras tossed into KMS.
