Hello,

I'm evaluating MailServer to see whether it's suitable for use as a simple email relay to provide a service similar to http://www.authsmtp.com/. Two really simple requirements are:

a) be able to quickly automate creation of users i.e. without manual intervention.
b) be able to limit the number of emails that can be sent within (for example) a 24 hour period. This has to be at a group or user level.

If these features aren't supported are there plans to add them in the near future?

Thanks,
Paul

We were actually thinking of using Kerio WITH http://www.authsmtp.com

We have used AuthSMTP on it's own with success for our remote users but now (as our ISP's IP's get frequently blacklisted) were thinking of using it with Kerio to get around this and for the extra security of external anti-virus scanning etc.

Anyone used it this way successfully?

There's no (publicly disclosed) API and no other way to reliably script user creation. (You could directly modify the XML config file, but that can only be done with an offline server.)
