I just set up one of our employees mailbox on his blackberry using IMAP. Turns out RIM has made some changes on their servers and it now supports IMAP IDLE commands. Push email sending and receiving was instant and worked flawlessly.

Still leaves us with OTA contacts and calendar syncing though. Notifylink is too expensive IMO.

When it asks you to set up an email account, enter your server settings as normal and it will then try and detect the account type and fail. It then gives you an option to chose advanced settings which is where you enter what type of server it is.

Excellent, sounds good, Quick Question: Were you able to see your complete folder structure in on your blackberry, or just the inbox???

I actually didn't check. The complete inbox did come through though.

To sync your contacts and calendar to your Blackberry on a Mac, I use The missing sync for Blackberry. (http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_blackberry.php)

You could always use the free Pocketmac for Blackberry that either comes with your phone or as a free download. Pocketmac dosen't sync pics and music if you have the BB curve (8300). Will work great though for other BB.

On the Windows side, sorry can't help you there Wink

regards,

Jeff
