Hi

Is there any way I can get my hands on all attachments sent & received (from a specific account) from a backup zip file?

Thanks.

Attachments are integrated into the messages (encoded), so there's no quick and easy way to get to them.

You can restore the users mail store from the backup and mount it under your own mail files and then browse through the emails...

I thought you couldn't restore just one account. You have to restore them all, don't you?

right, but when you know how to look at the .zip backup and can read the structure of the .eml files it is easy to locate the relevant emails.

other way: you are using a third party software for sorting the emails.

The backup-zip is just a zipped copy of the store folders (and some extra things), so you can extract from it any part you need.
