We recently migrated from CommuniGate (CGP) to KMS in order to utilize the advanced features of KMS, however, we do miss the following features it does not currently offer around Groups when compared to CGP:

Set Reply-To to Group
If this option was selected, the Reply-to: header pointing to the Group address was added to the message copy before it was sent to Group members. This ensured that replies to a message sent to the Group would go back to the Group, not to the message author.

Remove Author from Distribution
If this option was selected, the message From:address was removed from the members list.

Remove To and Cc from Distribution
If this option was selected, all addresses from the message To and Cc fields were removed from the (optionally expanded) members list.

Thank you for time and attention to the matter. Hopefully you consider these features for a later release. Keep up the good work!!!

Use mailing lists instead of groups. They have more options, one of them being the choice of having replies go back to the sender or to the group. (And can also be set not to allow people to 'register' themselves, etc., so they don't necessarily have to behave like internet mailing lists.)

Mind you: do back up the mailing lists folder on the KMS server, it's not backed up with the built-in backup.

Hi winkleman,

Thank you for the suggestion. The only opposition I have towards using mailing lists is going against our licensing since each malling list is counted as a user.

Is it? I did not know that. Hmm... that's not so nice of Kerio. They'd better implement some of the mailing list features in the normal groups then!
