What is the best way to deal with corrupt a users.cfg and mailserver.cfg?

In my particular case, both files have clearly been damaged, but seem to have the majority of the information intact. Our backups are also corrupt, so unfortunately that is not an option.

Also - a handful of messages were corrupt - probably 10 or so, out of thousands. What will happen when the server comes back up, and expects one of these messages to be there and they are not? Anything drastic?

Thanks in advance!
