I inherrited a Kerio mailserver with my new job and most options I figured out by now. However I have 2 tricky situations I need to figure out.

Our mailserver is running about 20 domains, mostly for customers.

The administrator of the mailserver (in this case hostmaster<_a.t_>xxxxx.com) receives a copy of mail send to one domain. So if somebody mails johndoe<_a.t_>yyy.com or janedoe<_a.t_>yyy.com, a copy is being delivered to hostmaster<_a.t_>xxxxx.com. There is no catch all for the domain or alias defined for any of the users.
I could not find an option to disable this.

Issue no 2.
For one domain non-deliverables in the format johndoe|johndoe<_a.t_>zzz.com are being delivered also to hostmaster<_a.t_>xxxxx.com. As this are spam mails I get a lot of spam on that account.

Thnx in advance for any help

Regarding issue 2:

In the Admin Console, go to the properties of domain zzz.com. Click on the "Forwarding" tab. Do you have the option "If recipient was not found..." ticked?

Issue 1:

Under "Archiving & Backup", have you checked, you don't archive to your hostmaster address?

Or do you have any SMTP proxy on your firewall, which maybe posts a copy of each mail?

Maybe the version we are using is helpfull. We are using Kerio 5.7 (build 8 ).

Issue 1:
I could not find the option "Archiving & Backup". Only a Backup option. And that is disabled.

Issue 2:
On none of the domains in our organisation is the option "If the receipient was not found..." was ticked. So unfortunattely that was a no go.

We do not have a smtp proxy so that cannot be the problem either.

For Issue #1, is there anyone on the forward list for that particular user? I'd guess it is and 'Deliver messages to both mailbox and forwarding addresses' is checked. You failed to mention that you checked there, so I'm just mentioning it.

For issue #2, see the KB How do I create a catch-all email address? Knowing that, is there a DOMAIN alias (not a user alias you mentioned) named * ?
