Situation:
Kerio mail running on IP 10.0.0.38

Internal Exchange server running on IP 10.0.0.10

telnet 10.0.0.38 25 working from 10.0.0.10
telnet 10.0.0.10 25 working from 10.0.0.38

Kerio mail server set to route mail out directly to internet (no relay)

Email sends fine to external email accounts but will not send to any of our internal email addresses on our internal exchange server (10.0.0.10)

4.4.1 Cannot connect to remote host

very strange? What should I look for/check to resolve this issue?

Thanks
Jon

Does the KMS see the Exchagne server via DNS?

What domains are the servers handling? If it's the same domain, is kerio configured to forward mail to Exchange if the recipient isn't local?

If it's separate domains, is there an MX record for the domain that Exchange is handling? For example:

Kerio addresses are <something><_a.t_>acme.com

Exchange addresses are <something><_a.t_>exchange.acme.com

If the DNS server that Kerio looks to doesn't have an MX record pointing to 'exchange.acme.com', and if 'exchange.acme.com' doesn't resolve to 10.0.0.10, kerio won't be able to send mail to exchange users

Good is better than evil because it's nicer
