I have a kerio 6.4.1 patch 1 server running on mac os x 10.4.9. I keep getting this error in the error log:
folder_manager.cpp: Attempt to create folder with forbidden character in name: ~username<_a.t_>xx.com/INBOX/*SomeFolderName
The user did try to make a folder starting with * some months ago, but couldn't do it, so cancelled, but it somehow keeps trying according to the log. Both the server and client has been restartet since.
Any idea on how to stop it?

TIA,
Peter

Have you checked through the user's folder structure on the server HD? Is the folder there? If yes, delete it.

If KMS runs on Windows, a folder with * in it is not allowed. But I don't know about other systems (Unix, Apple).

Folder names are not stored in the config files (mailserver.cfg, users.cfg). The only other file you could look at is the sub.fld file in the user's store directory. Maybe this contains the wrong folder name.
