Hi everyone...here is my calendar question...

We want to create a single public calendar that everyone can see - using Windows XP/Outlook 2003/KOC 6.4.1. We want a way for people to put an entry in their own personal calendar and some how mark it so the entry auto add's or syncs with the public one. If an entry is private it wouldn't sync to the shared public calendar...

Has anyone ever heard of a way to do this - in any way with any software?

Generally, users will have their own calendar for their username and a public calendar. They'll place personal appointments in own calendar, and general in the public. Outlook allows viewing multiple calendars at once I believe.

Yeah that is what I wanted to do since that is how Outlook and Kerio (and Exchange) normally work but we have some folks who want to just put 1 entry in and if not marked private, have it copy/sync the entry to a public shared calendar...I'll keep looking...

This is the exact question I have about calendaring functionality. Does anyone have any insight on this old post?

I am interested in how admins and users in smaller deployments (<50 users) deal with calendaring strategy. Currently we are using multiple Google Calendars (all shared with each other). Users want the scheduling feature that Kerio Connect offers, but I still think they want to see that overview of what everyone is doing (a complete public calendar).

What are some ways that organizations of this size use calendaring to keep abreast of what everyone is doing? Is it just wise to relegate just certain events (vacation, work travel) to a public calendar?
