I'm using WRF 6.4 and it would appear that VPN tunnel traffic is categorized as "Unrecognized users".

Is it possible to configure WRF to separate this traffic and allocate it to a "user"? If it's not possible, I'd appreciate this added as a feature request: Show each VPN tunnel as a "virtual user" in the stats (Admin Console and Web interface) to provide better/more accurate statistics on "Unrecognized users".

There is nothing 'specific' about a VPN tunnel, so KWF wouldn't know if a VPN connection is completely new or 'the same' as before. so keeping statistics may be a problem this way. (This could only be done if KWF where to look at MAC addresses as the bases for statistics [which it doesn't] and also assumes a virtual VPN adapter has a fixed MAC address [which I'm not sure about]).

What you could do is assign a static VPN IP address to the (virtual) VPN adapter at the client. (Side note: this would mean you'd have to manually keep an administration as to what IP addresses you've handed out, so you don't hand out/use the same IP address twice.) You could tie this IP address to an existing in their settings (each users has a specific VPN IP address setting). Or you could now create your own users and log them into the firewall automatically based on these now fixed IP addresses.
