Greetings to everyone.

I know the protocol inspectors of KWF are hard-coded into the software (pardon the verbage). But is there still any possible way to add / increase the types and quantity of these protocol inspectors? Especially if you would create a new "Service" specifically to control port access to certain apps

(e.g. Create a new service called Yahoo Messenger using TCP on Port 5050.....but there would be no protocol inspector since chat ports since this "service" is custom-built).

If you want to bind an existing protocol inspector (http, ftp, etc.) to a 'foreign' port, that's perfectly possible. If you want to create a totally new protocol inspector, that's impossible. That would require some sort of (publicized) plugin architecture, which KWF doesn't have.
