hi is use kerio oulook connector 6.4.2., and it works great in outlook at my work, i use the local network to connect to kms 6.4

when i am at home it would be nice i could use outlook with the koc, too.

smtp, mapi and http are active on the server, when i use webmail i can also login, but when i want to use koc in outlook at my pc at home i cant get any connection. i checked the ports in kms and they are the same as in my koc settings at home. what must i change?

thanks already!

What IP address are you using in the KOC setup at home? If it is an IP local to your work network, do you have a VPN?

If it is the WAN side IP of your work network, have you forwarded the KOC ports on your work router to the KMS?

The VPN is preferable from a security standpoint, but until you have version 6.5 with offline cacheing, KOC to a remote site will be slow.

Wouldn't KOFF be ideal here? If you have port 80/443 open from the outside to your Kerio server, then KOFF would let you view your e-mail outside the office in offline and online mode.

Im assuming you havent got a firewall block or setting on KMS to only allow a specific IP range?

My address book works just fine over the https port. Odd you wouldn't see it automatically after installing KOFF.

OK, I tried that one as well. Still, I cannot connect using outlook. i have a imac as well at home, which has no trouble at all connecting using Entourage. but outlook (2003+xp or 2007+Vista) cannot.

There seems to be a fundamental difference between outlook and entourage, but what???
