When using Outlook Express as the IMAP client we get an error message when clicking on the top level of a shared or public folders hierarchy saying that it could not select the folder on the IMAP server. The individual shared and public folders themselves work OK, so the problem is not a show stopper.

This does not happen using Thunderbird as the IMAP client, so I think it is Outlook Express itself being unable to understand the IMAP properly. It is trying to read email out of a folder which is not actually a real folder.

Does anybody know of a way round this, or is it something we just have to tell our users to learn to ignore?
