Hello everyone

I work in a company with no in-house mail server. I need -and I want to know if it is possible- to use Kerio MailServer as a kind of smarthost, meaning I need it to download e-mail from the Internet and provide it to Open Directory users. Users should send e-mails to the world using their company e-mail addresses.

Kerio will be setup on a MacOs X Leopard Server. There is no option of setting the company's MX records directly to the Kerio MS for now.

Thanks in advance

Kostas,

I do not know if this is exactly what you are asking, but Kerio does have a built-in capability to pull email from external POP3 accounts. Simply put, you can setup the server to log into a POP3 account off of another mail server and select a local mail account to deliver the messages to. You can set the intervals of which Kerio will query the POP3 server.

Thanks for the answer.

What is the lowest interval value?

It looks like you can go as low as every one minute. I have a couple of clients set up on this and I have mine set at every 30 minutes.
