Hello All,

I trying KMS 6.4.2 with a Windows Mobile 6 (HTC TyTN II), synchronization directly with ActiveSync in Exchange mode and all HTML emails are displayed with plain text.

How to change it please ?

I don't think it's possible. WM6 only displays HTML email with Exchange 2007.

Nope.

Blame MS, not Kerio.

Since you said "i don't think" can someone confirm if this is the case and if Kerio will never be able to send anything but plain text emails via activesync!!!

Cheers

I fear you're right, but it feels a bit strange.

My analysis:

Either somehow WM6 detects it's not talking to an actual Exchange2k7 server and consequently goes into 'ugly mode'. Or... WM6 doesn't use actual HTML in rich text messages, but some proprietary rich text format that only Exchange2k7 is allowed (or knows how) to convert into. Thus forcing Kerio into using the simple text variant.

I don't see any other possibilities and in both ways it is Microsoft deliberately screwing 3rd party developers...

Unless of course there are several levels of ActiveSync licensing and Kerio has only licensed ActiveSync without shelling out for the rich text support Twisted Evil

Just configure the Exchange account without email to sync your contacts and calendar. Configure a second mail account using IMAP: all your emails are now HTML.

Works fine for me on my P3600, using WM6 and WM6.1.

WM 6.0 and 6.1 use newer version of ActiveSync protocol (introduced with Exchange2007 SP1) with some improvements like HTML emails and few more. We were working on an update and Kerio MailServer will fully support new WM 6 features in the next version.

Excellent, rich text email is (to me) one the of best improvements in WM6 and up.
