Hi,

So a many of you, we run Open Directory as a central repository for our users and Kerio for our mail. KMS looks to OD for it's users which helps with keeping it all in one place but what would be REALLY nice would be to get OD reflecting the contact data in Kerio's LDAP DB or vice-versa.

Now I know that the KMS LDAP is fairly immutable and that Kerio don't want us messing about in there, but OD is a different matter... it's OpenLDAP under the hood and at the risk of breaking it, we're free to bugger about all we like.

OpenLDAP supports both chaining and referrals and this got me thinking that with some changes I might be able to get OD to refer to KMS for it's contact data.

Has anyone messed about with this, tried it or done anything with chaining or referrals in the past? Can anyone give me any pointers or hints?

Cheers
Dan
