Hi

I upgraded out Mailserver last week, and so far, 6.5.0 has been fantastic for us. It is working without a hitch for both our Mac and PC clients, and we are having no issues with ActiveSync for those of us using PEDs. It is faster, seems to have fewer errors in the logs, and generally just works.

So... thanks to the Kerio team!

Cheers

I have to agree on this, it was a great upgrade. It was seamless and added alot of speed and functionality. Thanks Kerio.

I have to agree with this as well. I just deployed the 6.5.0 update today on our Mac OS X Server, and went to KOFF 6.5.0 on our remaining Outlook users. Outlook is exceptionally faster, and the iCal / CalDAV interaction is beautiful. No known issues on either side. Well done!

I say congrats as well... this has been one of the more anxiously awaited releases.

I am curious to know what kind of speed increases you are all referring to. We have users in CA, but our Mailserver is in MI... right now KOC (6.4.2) seems sluggish, and they complain a little or use webmail as alternative. Can anyone comment on increased speed in this type of situation?

The Kerio Outlook Connector with Offline Mode is the big speed deal of the 6.5.0 release. With a server located that far away... the first-time re-sync of your Outlook users with the KOC Offline version might take quite a while. However, it's now cacheing a local copy of all the email, allowing for far faster searches of email, contacts, etc. Remember, if not on a LAN local to the mail server, the first time sync after updating might be *slow*.

They have an active connection to the server... so I don't think that the offline mode will really help in that regard... (though it will be interesting to see.)

Prior to our switch to Kerio, we had been running Groupwise, and we had multiple Post Offices setup across the domain... Which made their mail access faster (had one in CA with them.)

Any word on if this is a feature that others have requested?

So far we have had excellent experiences with 6.5.0 as well. The KOFF and CalDAV functionality additions are outstanding.

I must admit, 6.5.0 has some very nice features.

I love the fact that I can now sync my Mac Mail and iCal with my Windows Mobile phone, via OTA (Over the air.) I add a calendar item on my Mac in iCal on the Kerio Calendar, and it appears on my phone. The same thing with e-mail et al. No cables needed.

Very nice.
