The combination of KMS 6.5 and Entourage 2008 are almost there when it comes to providing a perfect experience for the Mac user. If the entire network is Mac everything is fine. However, I was really hoping that either KMS 6.5 or Entourage 2008 would finally allow Mac users to see the same event colors that are seen by those in Outlook or the Kerio Webmail.

It is a disappointment that those colors still don't carry thru. Our admin uses colors extensively on the company wide calendar. These colors allow the users to quickly discern the different types of events. However, none of these colors show up in Entourage.

I hope that this is eventually corrected.

Entourage sucks, just so you know. This is nothing to do with Kerio and everything to do with MS. Here are some other "Mac Only Features"

1) You cannot have server-side groups in your addressbook.
2) Categories aren't synced to the server.
3) Tasks aren't synced to the server.
4) Notes aren't synced to the server.

I'm sure there's more to hate about it however it's early.

While I agree that there are still some shortcomings with Entourage, I wouldn't go anywhere near saying it sucks. Other than the categories not being synched to the server, Entourage has worked extremely well for our company.

Besides, what other alternatives are there? It is true that KMS6.5 has greatly increased the usefulness of iCal and Addressbook, but they have their own shortcomings. Addressbook can't see contact folders nested inside of the main folder. iCal doesn't synch categories either. In fact, iCal doesn't even let you have multiple colors on one calendar. You have to create a separate calendar for each category. That doesn't seem to be very efficient.

The only other alternative I can see is to use the webmail. While that is okay for when I am out of the office, I certainly find Entourage to be much more efficient.

In my particular case, I have VMWare Fusion installed, so I actually use a combination of Entourage 2008 and Outlook 2007.
