This isn't a problem with the mail server per se, but it does involve my mail server. Yesterday, when I checked my mail queue, I noticed that I had about half a dozen emails stuck in queue for the neo.rr.com domain. When I started digging through my logs, I noticed that I encounter periods where I am completely unable to resolve that domain. I did a little more digging and I found the same problem with the hawaii.rr.com domain. What I am wondering is this: Is anyone else experiencing similar problems or is this somthing that is just local to our configuration? The DNS server being used by the mail server is on our internal network and is a Windows 2003 box running DNS and Active Directory. In turn the Windows box is using itself and one of AT&T's servers for it's DNS.

I'm just looking for ideas to pass on to my boss. Anything you can come up with would be great. Thanks

Couldn't it simply be that the DNS server for the rr.com domain is having difficulties? Looks like it...

That was what I was figuring, but I wanted to run it by someone else before I went out and blamed them.

If you have no such problems with any other domain but (subs from) rr.com, I'd say you're in the clear and you may assume they have an issue Cool
