Hi All,

I am a web database developer and my client has asked me if I can synchronize the contacts in my database with their Kerio Mail Server. Does anyone have any ideas how this can be done?

What I was hoping for is a set of http(s) commands for setting and retrieving data (XML, POST or GET), perhaps as an extension of webmail.

If it matters to anyone, I am using MySQL with PHP.

Thanks for any guidance!

Best regards,

Steven Walker

You can get PHP to create VCARDs that can be pulled into Kerio via Outlook. How to automate this I'm not sure.
I wouldn't recommend it but the vcards are stored in the store folder of Kerio Mail Server. It may be possible to get PHP to loop though all files in this folder and read the vcard data.

Synchronization wouldn't want to be a task I have to perform though!

Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping that I could leverage features of Kerio rather than going under the hood. It's good to know about the vcards if it comes down to that, though I'm concerned about the security and stability of such an approach, not to mention the amount of time it could take.

A safer, though less automated route I have considered is exporting/importing contacts through Outlook and using the Kerio synch plug-in.

Still, my preferred solution would be to use http requests. I know this functionality exists on some level because otherwise webmail would not be possible.
