Hi there!
Two users are at the moment abroad . They called me telling me that they tried to log in their mailboxes from a interent point but without success. This is what I see on the security log.
[11/Mar/2008 21:46:53] Client for Webmail session 449a16c64fa0d11f2e96f299559cad18 changed IP address: created for IP=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, secure=no, new connection from IP=yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy, secure=no
What does this mean?
Thanks in advance,
Max

See this thread/message. The error message has changed since that version.

Basically, once a session has been created between the browser and the server, the server expects the IP address of the client to remain the same. With some of the mobile access/WiFi plans, the IP address keeps changing during a session. Under other circumstances, this could/would indicate someone is trying to hijack the session, but with some of the mobile plans out there, this is a result of the way they allocate their addresses for VERY short periods of time.
