hi mates...

I am using Kerio 6.4.0 for messaging system.
One of my recipient gets the information of Computer on which Kerio is installed.Like, Local PC IP Address, complete FQDN of Computer,etc....
i deem it as security breach b/c anyone might misuse this information.

I paste the output below...

Output:
Return-path:
Envelope-to:
Delivery-date: Thu, 13 Mar 2008 01:25:09 -0800
Received: from [203.81.234.49] (helo=farazakhlaq.iop.net)
by host57.ipowerweb.com with esmtp (Exim 4.63)
(envelope-from <xxxxxx<_a.t_>gmail.com>)

Received: from farazakhlaq ([192.168.1.100])
by farazakhlaq.iop.net (Kerio MailServer 6.4.0);

Message-ID: <002001c884dc$f747ab80$6401a8c0<_a.t_>iop.net

If you review line number 9 and 10, it shows originating PC, hostname and IP Address.
I am running this Server on Windows XP SP2, hosting it on a private IP address(as obvious from output). Is there anyway to hide this information.

regards

Surely it's more of a security risk to:

A) Run an old version of the mailserver
B) Post this "privileged" information online

...?

This is of course described in the manual: http://www.kerio.com/manual/kms/en/ch15s06.html. Look for "Hide local IP in Received headers".

Reading the manual is always worth to try. And searching this forums too.
