Our CFO and bookkeeper want an additional calendar, server-side, that they can put their daily, weekly and monthly billing and payroll reminders into. They dont want anyone else but the two of them to access it. One uses Mac OS X Leopard and iCal 3.0 with CalDAV, and the other uses Windows XPSP2 with Outlook 2003 SP2.

What's my best bet? A "public folders" calendar with restricted access? Is there a better way?

Thanks!

Outlook only shows reminders from the default Calendar and Tasks folder in the profile. They both should be able to access the shared calendar the way you want, but reminders won't work - at least not with Outlook.
