Hi all

Did anyone experience the following problem:
We have KMS with about 50 mail users and repeatedly get contacted because user don't receive mails from a counter part that actually doesn't get any failure message.

The log shows that those mails come in and get processed and delivered to the user, so they are not blocked by spam filters or other things in any way.

But the user actually never gets the mails in there INBOX.

What could be done?

Have you checked webmail for the missing emails?

Yes, same thing here just now. User says they never received and did not delete, and this user is one of only a few I would actually believe. Log shows incoming mail and delivery.

Turn on archiving and see if the messages show up there.

If the logs show delivery to the lcoal mailboxes then something must be happening to the mail after it gets to the mailboxes.

Could there be any rogue POP clients out there with its password saved cheerfully POPing the mail onto the wrong PC? If so, get the user to change password. How about an overzealous junk mail filter? Is there anything in the KMS spam log to indicate that the message was marked as spam? Also get the affected users to check their mail filters for any rules that automatically delete messages.

If that doesn't work, take a backup and then follow the instructions for reindexing the affected mailboxes.
