We have been having a problem receiving emails using POP3 from the mailserver using Outlook 2007. Basically if there is more than one email to download it will download the first email to the inbox and then an error will occur and you have to send/receive again and again until each email is downloaded individually.

This error only occurs with outlook 2007 as all previous outlooks we have do not have this error.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

The error message received is an operation times out error. See link below for print screen jpg.

After receving the first message it remains on Send/Receive 50% for ages and then displays this error message.

Sometimes Antivirus programs which you have installed on your computer, hook into Outlook or into the POP3 protocol.

Try to disable mail checking in your Antivirus program. Also, do you see anything in the KMS warning/error log?

Hi,

I stopped the antivirus in kerio mailserver and in local PC, but I got the same error.
Another strange thing is that if we use Outlook express or Outlook 2003 we don´t have problems. With outlook 2007 some times we got crashes with messages of some Kb, a huge delay to receive normal mails and many times the kerio doesn´t clean the mailbox when the mail is read.

We have exactly the same problem. No issues in any versions of outlook ealier than 2007, sometimes randomly will not be able to download larger messages (ones with attachments)and will only download 1 message at a time as previously mentioned. I too have tried stopping anti-virus and have enen gone as far as uninstalling it to see if it makes a difference, but it doesn't.

If someone out there knows whats going on then please help!!

Hi,

I don´t have any errors in kerio logs.
It seems kerio works fine with all client mails except with outlook 2007.
Thanks,
Mario

I would find out if the local distributor opened up a trouble ticket. If not, open one yourself.

No mention of any errors in the logs in Kerio, it seems to me that the problem is with Outlook 2007 not working with Kerio rather than the other way round, maybe something to do with how they communicate on POP3??

I have not submitted a trouble ticket either.
