Maybe I am being stupid but I can't get recurring tasks to work the way I expect them to in webmail.

I set up a daily recurring task, with a reminder set. It pops up the reminder as it should and I perform the task. I dismiss the reminder and all seems fine. The problem is that the task should recurr so that it is reset to incomplete and the reminder retriggered the next day. This does not happen. I get no reminders on the second day. If I go into the task properties the reminder option is unticked.

How can I set up a daily task so that it reminds me every day and the reminder can be dismissed for that day, but not for all time?

Also, is there any way to get reminders by email? This would be helpful for IMAP users who don't live in Webmail all the time.

Any ideas?

I guess I could just make them daily appointments in the calendar but that makes the calendar untidy and devalues the task list.
