Hello,

i've a short and maybe very easy question.

If somebody could tell me how i can send a email to everybody in a domain of our KMS.

We're hosting multiple domains, and we want the feature to send a email to.....let's say everybody<_a.t_>xxxxxxx.com

I can make this with mailing lists, but the problem here is, if new users comes to the domain - they're not automatically added.

Have i overseen some function of the KMS or is there a other solution ???

BTW: This function should be only able to use from users in this domain.....

Greetings

The best bet is to create a group and give it the address everyone<_a.t_>domain.com. You can then set up a User Template that includes membership to that group. When you add a user, select the template on the first screen, and the user will be a member of the everyone group. You'd have to manually add existing users though.

That could be a problem. It's been a requested feature to only allow mail from the domain, but it hasn't been added yet. I got around it by disallowing mail sent to everyone<_a.t_>domain.com at our SMTP gateway, but if you don't have one, I think you're out of luck.

As a side note, don't use the "This user can send/receive email to/from his/her own domain only" setting for the group, it doesn't work the way you might think. It's more of a security setting for everyone in the group, rather than a setting that applies to the group e-mail address. That will apply to everyone who is a member of the group, so nobody will be able to send mail in or out of the domain.

How do you add a group to a template? The groups tab is greyed out when editing templates for us.

I had to look, it's been ages since I set mine up.

The groups are domain specific, so the Groups tab is grayed out until you choose a domain on the first screen.
