Hi there,

I was wondering if there was a way to send email AS a public folder. I am using Kerio 6.5.1 in the Fedora Core 6 VM with KOFF and Outlook 2003/2007.

Anyone have ideas?

Thanks,
Taylor Neill

I have never tried to, but I would assume not, as I don't believe that a public folder actually has an email address assigned to it.

What is the end result you are trying to achieve, maybe there is another way around what you are trying?

Thanks

You can assign an email address to a public folder...

I have 3 ladies in a call center that need access to the same email address. Instead of forwarding emails to everyone, it's far easier to set each of them up with the same public folder and have those emails come into the one folder.

The only issue is I need them to be able to reply to those emails with the bugs<_a.t_>xxxx.com email address (public folder).

Thanks,
Taylor

And there's your problem. There's no way that several different Kerio accounts can sent email from the same 'From address'.

You could set the same 'Reply to' address though, which may achieve a similar result (replies to messages from your 3 ladies get sent back to bugs<_a.t_>xxxx.com). However, recipients will see different from addresses (the actual ladies' email address), which is perhaps not acceptable to you.
