Hi,
and now, how do I set up my iPhone for the use with active sync and KMS?
My first try was to install my .cert and enter my account informationen. Guess what? It did not work as the accountinformationen, that has to be entered in the Exchange account is good for Exchange but not for KMS.
Any ideas anyone?

regards

Oliver

It is not officially out yet.
Please wait for official announcement about iPhone support in KMS. It will come shortly after iPhone release.

Thanks.

FWIW, I've downloaded and installed the 2.0 link going around and configured it for use with KMS. After making the cfg tweak, things seem to be syncing quite fine. Look at the contacts, interesting situation there, eh?

Note: I'm not under any NDA

That's not technically true - folks in NZ and elsewhere are already able to buy iPhone 3G (which comes with iPhone 2.0).

I'm able to connect to our server just fine, but nothing actually downloads...

Hi jshaw541

Could you detail what config change you needed to do?

I'm connecting ok but getting the following errors in the log:

[10/Jul/2008 20:08:09] ActiveSyncRequest::Execute: Access denied for device <device name> (user: <user email address>). The device 'iPhone' isn't supported in this version

Many thanks
Mike

Hi

Ok I'll answer that myself - given I've just found it.

In case anyone is brave enough to try;

Edit you config file:

mailserver.cfg

In the following section change the value from 0 to 1:

<table name="MobileSync">
<variable name="AllowUnsupportedDevices">1</variable>

Then restart the server.

Mike
