This is interesting and must be something account-specific as I have 7 other iPhone users who are not experiencing this issue (and of course it would have to be THE Boss):

After deleting a message either on Apple Mail (desktop client) or via the iPhone (ActiveSync), messages don't show in Apple Mail, show with strikethru on Webmail and all show on iPhone. That they all show on the iPhone is the problem. The only solution to this point has been to go into Webmail and delete the messages (with strikethru) so that they really die. Obviously this is not a long-term fix.

Any ideas please?

You can right click on the offending mailbox in webmail and select "Purge deleted items" or something like that to get rid of the slash-through emails.

Is your iPhone using imap or acivesync?

*Using ActiveSync on iPhone (as PUSH is needed)
*Using IMAP on Desktop (Apple Mail)

So to test this issue, i have created a number of test emails to test this thru and thru and have done so using both my account and my Boss'. Results are the same:

TEST A: Deleted on my iPhone
Gone from Desktop, Webmail and iPhone (GOOD)

TEST B: Deleted on my Mac (Apple Mail)
Gone from Desktop, stirkethru on Webmail and showing as read on iPhone (BAD)

TEST C: Deleted on Kerio Web Mail
Gone from Desktop, Webmail and iPhone (GOOD)

Try turning off Activesync for mail and use imap and see how that does for you.

That's how IMAP works. It's matter of client whether it just mark email as deleted or if it purge deleted emails at the same time.

I have Apple Mail configured to move deleted messages to Trash folder and store them on the server and have no problems with deleted email on iPhone using ActiveSync.index.php?t=getfile&id=1415&private=0

That is how I have my Mail settings configured, but deleted messages still show on iPhone and show on Webmail with the strike thru.

Wouldn't I lose the Push feature if I had the iPhone set to IMAP though?
