Dear Kerio Experts,

I am having a problem like this. I am using KWF 6.4.2.

1. I have Internet users around 40. I am use Active Directory Authentication. From those 40 users, 10 of them are only allowed browsing at lunch time. I configure this by using HTTP Policy.

2. I bought 30 Kerio licenses.

3. I set idle log-out time to 10 minutes. The problem is: although the lunch-time users are already logged out 10 minutes pass lunch hours, but their computer accounts are still listed as Active Hosts, thus they are still counted into the license counter. This limits my licenses usage.

4. Is there a way to completely 'flush' or get rid of all these already log-out users, so my licenses would reflect the real number of connected users?

Thanks a lot in advance...

There is a minimum amount of time a license is taken up, regardless of real usage. Years ago it used to be something like 30 minutes, but currently it is somewhat longer AFAIK.

Say it's now 2 hours (I dunno, Kerio doesn't seem to comment on this), then your lunchtime users would hold up the licenses for at least 2 hours.

Btw, Kerio doens't so much license 'users', but 'concurrent devices passing through the firewall'. I guess your 40 users actually use 40 different PC's, otherwise you wouldn't have this problem.
