Ok I am wanting to use OD users on my Kerio Mail Server I am running the latest build of Kerio and 10.5 Server.

I have installed a fresh install of 10.5 server and setup dns and OD with a few users. I have user machines working ok with OD server. I also have a Filemaker Pro server which successfully authenticates users on OD. But I am struggling with Kerio this is what I have done.

1. Using Directory Access link Kerio Server machine to OD which worked succesfully.
2. Installed Kerio Extension on OD server.
3. OD Settings in Kerio:
hostname: iserver.domain.com
username: uid=diradmin,cn=users,dc=domain,dc=com
password is correct
LDAP Search Suffix: dc=domain,dc=com

When I click test connection I get "Directory Server: Cannot bind to LDAP server (invalid credentials). Check the username and password.

I have checked the login several times and it is correct.

I am lost with this one. Everything seems to be correct.

Any ideas?

It's been a while since I've set up an OD/Kerio server however one thing that tripped me up initially was that the the Kerberos realm had to be the domain name for your email for it to work. By default the kerberos realm is the hostname of the server, say xserve.company.com, but you need to modify the realm to be company.com.

I think that's how I fixed the problem, let me know. Like I said, it's been a while.

Are you authenticating with the correct admin account ie you should be authenticating with the diradmin account ?

We have OD setup to work with Kerio (Altho we aren't using the mapping due to groups choking Kerio after too many) and what you have there looks correct. Maybe create a new admin account just for kerio, verify it has admin privileges and try again?
